Soccer Finale and Carving Pumpkins!

So . . . it's been a while:)  This past Saturday, we wrapped up our last weekend of soccer with the three kids.  It was BEAUTIFUL weather -- which always makes this "I don't like being cold" mama happy:)  Tyler . . . well it's always fun to just watch him!

They did learn a  lot since the beginning of the season!

Joshua got to play goalie this weekend -- he really enjoys that position!

I think it's safe to say none of the kids really "dig" the aspect about soccer that involves lots of running . . . they "might" have gotten that from their mama:)

Go Kayla!

Afterwards, they had a tailgate party set up -- with crafts and face painting.  Of course, Joshua chose a "KC" -- everything in this city is blue now!!!!  (GO ROYALS!)

When we finished soccer, we stopped at McD's on the way home for some ice cream cones -- courtesy of G/G Nelson in Wisconsin . . . thanks for the treat!!!!

Since the Royals weren't playing last night, it seemed like a good time to carve the pumpkins!

Scooping the guts out!

I'm sure he was imitating some kind of action figure here!

Why yes . . . our pumpkin carving involved a cordless drill . . .

 . . . and a dremel.  Isn't that how it's done at everyone's house????

The finished product . . . Joshua had the KC Royals crown emblem, Kayla wanted poke dots, and Tyler . . . of course . . . wanted the Batman sign!
