Happy Birthday Bryan!

Happy B-day! I opted for Birthday Cupcakes . . . I know, it's not as glamorous.
Bryan's outfit/food kind of looks like a Vitorin commercial, doesn't it? Ha ha!

Joshua especially loved them. . .

. . . and Kayla could barely stand all of the excitement!
Yes, she actually fell asleep in her highchair.

Uncle Brian came home this weekend from Chicago for the graduation -- what a great picture!

Aunt Bem dropped by earlier this week and we ended up having "pah -corn."
Joshua seems to think that it needs to be a nightly ritual now!

Summer Bonding Project

Joshua and I have begun our summer bonding project . . . potty training! Yesterday our score was 1-5 (1 success, 5 "not-successes"!) Something tells me it might take a while . . .!

Looks like he's having a ton of fun, doesn't it?
Don't worry grandma, we're not pushing this too hard just yet!

Happy Mom's Day!

For Mother's Day we (Bryan, I, Rebecca, Steve, Ryan and Dad) pulled up the 15-year old bushes in front of the house! I know . . .it's so sentimental, isn't it? Mom was taking Brian back to the airport, so she couldn't be a part of the festivities!

The first idea was to use the four-wheeler. It worked fine on the little bushes but didn't do anything on the big bushes! Also, Joshua absolutely FREAKS out when he hears the four wheeler right now, so that makes things a little interesting as well!

Oh yeah, it was quite the party!

The second means of getting the bushes out was Ryan's 4-wheel drive truck. Worked like a charm!

When they were all pulled, we used the rollback to haul them! Thank goodness for serious power tools! Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Sunday Meal

Brian came home from Chicago this weekend and it was fun to see him again! Joshua liked sitting next to "Bian!"

Brian and Jenny

Not the zoo, but . . .

We were going to go to the zoo on Bryan's day off . . . but when we arrived, there were FOUR school buses . . um . . . and we decided to catch it another time! So, we decided to ride the carousel instead. Joshua REFUSED to ride any of the animals, so we all chilled on the benches!

Mommy and Kayla

Then we played on the slides afterward. Fun day!

Sibling Bonding!

You have no idea how hard it was to "pose" this picture -- it looks oh so natural, doesn't it?!!

"You see Kayla . . . the nose goes here!"

Six months today . . . we are just loving this age!

Just another day . . .

This was this morning's conversation in the kitchen:
"Mommy . . uh-oh . . . 'pain' . . . high . . . cookie"

Almost six months!

Still raining . . .

Since it is still raining . . . we have resorted to only doing things inside. Aunt Bem came over one night this week and ate some "puddin" (as Joshua says it!).

Doesn't it just crack you up?
