Fun Week!

We have had such a fun week this week with Max -- oh yeah, with Steve and Freya, too! The highlight was going to the "world famous" Topeka Zoo! However, for a 2-year old, it's more than adequate!

Who would guess that taking a picture of the two of them would be such a challenge????

The best part was feeding the goats -- even though you get COMPLETELY ripped off on "food" for the goats!

Too cute!

Kayla was such a trooper . . . she did just great at the zoo! We're sad to see Max go back home to IN, but can't wait until Christmas -- when he'll have a brother or sister!

The Whole Clan!

My brother and his wife have been visiting this past week from IN . . . so we took advantage of that on Sunday to get a picture of EVERYONE! What an adventure!

Aunt Bem and Kayla

Joshua and his cousin Max -- 10 months apart. It has been quite the adventure as they are both having to learn to share . . . life is so hard sometimes!

Max riding/being pushed in the crazy car! He's a "go-getter!"

Fun in the Sun!

We celebrated Daddy's day off by ALL of us taking naps this afternoon (it was soooo wonderful!) and then spending some time in the pool . . . the kiddie inflatable pool! It was fun to get in and splash around with Joshua!

Joshua's favorite side kick!

Kayla's first time in the pool

Besides the fact that the water arch sways in the wind and you have to prop it up to make it work. . . it works great!

Kayla's 7 Months!

Wow . . . our baby is growing up! Seven months already!

These pictures are purely for Aunt Bem's benefit! To be honest, the very fact that she changed Joshua's dirty diaper was half-miraculous!
One might say that she has a "slight aversion" to the smell!

Ryan dropped by the other day -- and they had some bonding time watching a movie . . . well, it only lasted for about 7 minutes in typical 2-year old style!

Joys of Summer

We FINALLY blew up the pool/"water park" (according to the marketing on the box) this week. Joshua LOVES the water . . .he is such a boy!

This is how Kayla "enjoys" the pool . . . from the somewhat safety of her stroller, although the water magically seems find it's way out of the pool!

Yes . . . Kayla is developing a bit of an interesting smile with her teeth pattern!

So far today . . .

I realized that it had been earily quiet . . . yep . . . Joshua was hard at work "unstuffing" the pillow. Lovely.

Then, this afternoon, I realized that it was quiet again . . . and he had gone into our closet upstairs and managed to get the Napolean Dynomite wig. What a goober!

Trip to Aunt Bem and Uncle Steve's

Tonight we took a quick walk to Aunt Bem and Uncle Steve's. Joshua LOVES their doggies . . .

well . . . it's more like a love/hate relationship!

The doggies got lots of treats tonight . . . not because they were good, but because Joshua kept asking for "moh" treats to feed the doggies! He is finally starting to talk more and we are loving it . . . at least for now!

We've decided that it works best if Joshua gets his "doggie" fix at their place . . . it's much easier than having pets of our own!

Misc. pics/Spring Fling

I know this picture makes probably no sense . . . but Joshua was "dancing" for Kayla and she was just giggling like crazy! That's when being a mom is just the best!

I take that back . . . THIS is when being a mom is just the best!

Our church had their "Spring Fling" today -- a picnic after church on the lawn. The weather was beautiful and it was SOOO nice having family there to help with the whole picnic/kid thing. A ratio of 8:2 (8 adults/2 kids) works out very nicely!

They had a "train" that would circle around several times and that was definetely Joshua's favorite thing. He was pretty hesitant about the blow up bouncy inflatable things! Uncle "Bian" was home from Chicago again . . . we are getting very spoiled to this! So, it was fun to hang out with him after church!
